APPROACH TO DESIGN
Interior Designer Jacques Saint Dizier understands that design is much more that simply planning a space. It is about transforming a house into a home. This only works if the designer takes time to truly understand clients and their needs. Supported by staff dedicated to professionalism and excellent service, Jacques accomplishes the goals of his clients by listening, responding and creating environments that stylishly reflect individual tastes.
LISTENING
A successful relationship between designer and client starts with communication. Jacques and his talented team of designers excel at the fine art of listening. ”No two people share the same vision of elegance or comfort or even what a certain color is. So we talk. We develop a rapport. You could say that we design by ear.” This process is essential. Clients are assured that they and their designers are talking the same language. Importantly, this dialog assists the Saint Dizier Design team in creating attractive, stylish interiors, tailored to each client.
COLLABORATION
The creative process has now begun. From conversations and collaboration with our clients, we are able to create a home that reflects the personality of those for whom we work. Thirty years of experience and innovative approaches enable Jacques to translate vague images expressed by a client into tangible forms, textures and colors. Rustic country homes may be transformed into more elegant settings to suit the owner. San Francisco homes that were designed for entertaining are made just as comfortable for family living. Hawaiian villas match the majesty of their surroundings and, most importantly, the vision of the client. Each environment is one that the client will proudly recognize as home.
SETTING STANDARDS
Attention to detail, realistic costs and meeting deadlines are some of the features that distinguish Saint Dizier Design from other firms. When clients receive invoicing during the project, they can merely glance down a spreadsheet and identify where every dollar is spent: From the 18th century armoire, to a yard of of pillow trim. Follow-through, practicality and straight forward accounting practices help establish a level of trust and in turn, makes for a better project all around. But perhaps the most important factor in our approach is the prevailing philosophy that clients give a room life, not the furnishings.
Jacques does not design for his portfolio. He designs for people.
